Bebat
Recycling together, better for all!
Bebat has been processing batteries for over 30 years by collecting, sorting and recycling them. To do this, Bebat has an extensive network of collection points throughout Belgium. Bebat developed a platform where manufacturers and importers of batteries can declare the batteries they place on the Belgian market. This declaration is very important as, under Belgian law, they are responsible for the collection and processing of used batteries. Bebat is also actively working to raise awareness of the importance of battery recycling. For example, Villa Pilla, an interactive visitor trail, was specially designed for schools to make children aware of this.
For the new version of the application, Cubitec's modular platform was chosen as the data processing layer. This platform provides a structured and visual processing of various data streams and complex data. In addition, the modular platform acts as a central link between the various parties that work together on the application. Within a short period of time, public APIs were developed, allowing the parties involved to connect to the platform quickly and efficiently.
Due to the growth of the project and the team, Cubitec called on Lemon for project management support. Lemon drew up a plan of action in the short term and ensured seamless cooperation with the existing technical team and the various stakeholders involved. Lemon took via our Team-as-a-Service Collaboration Model assumes responsibility for:
- Coordination within the team
- Communication and follow-up with the customer and external parties
- The implementation of structured work processes and ceremonies
- Further analysis and structuring within the team
- Knowledge transfer and training of the new internal project manager so that the further development and implementation of new functionalities can be continued smoothly
Lemon provided Cubitec/Bebat with the right support in the field of project and team management in a period when the customer was undergoing an important transition, both in terms of team structure and internal organization. In this way, we were able to contribute to the successful rollout of the new version of the application. In addition, Lemon also ensured a transfer of knowledge to the internal team so that further expansion can be continued in an efficient way. Thanks to this collaboration, Bebat was able to further achieve its mission and make the platform accessible to all parties involved in the Bebat ecosystem.
