Fiberklaar
Working together on fiber optic connections with impact
Fiberklaar is a Belgian company that builds fiber optic networks in Flanders. It offers fast and reliable internet connections via an open network model, where various providers can offer services. The goal of Fiberklaar is to give as many Flemish households and companies as possible access to future-proof digital infrastructure. They want to stimulate digital innovation and growth by making future-proof infrastructure available.

At Fiberklaar, it's about the efficient deployment of fiber connections throughout Flanders. To achieve this, Fiberklaar has partnered with Lemon for a fully digital process, aimed at both the end user and the subcontractors. Lemon brings not only technical expertise, but also a human approach that is critical to the success of this project.

Organizational analysis and collaboration with subcontractors
The project started with a thorough analysis of the Fiberklaar operation (e.g. with their subcontractors). Field research, going on the road with Fiberklaar, provided insight into existing working methods and possible optimizations. It turned out that the home survey processes carried out by the subcontractors can be time-consuming and depend on whether someone is at home or not. Lemon proposed developing a central appointment module, where the status of each survey is immediately visible to both Fiberklaar and the subcontractors. This ensures smooth cooperation and more efficient communication.
End user journey mapping
In addition, there was an extensive customer journey mapping carried out to identify the needs of the end users. The goal was to develop a simple and user-friendly home survey app that guides residents to carry out their home survey independently. This took into account various types of housing, the technical competence of residents, and cultural differences. A self-service option via an app proved to be the key to saving time and increased efficiency for both Fiberklaar and residents.

From field research to software development
Lemon not only did the research, but also developed the software solutions for Fiberklaar. The homesurvey app, built in Flutter, uses advanced features to help residents identify the right amenities in their homes. Thanks to the flexible and scalable architecture of the app, it can easily be adapted to the different needs of both residents and Fiberklaar. In addition, integration with existing systems ensures that all collected data is immediately available for further processing and validation.

Results and future
The collaboration between Fiberklaar and Lemon has led to significant efficiency improvements. With the introduction of a self-service home survey and better data exchange with subcontractors, it is expected that the costs and time involved in building fiber connections will decrease significantly. In the future, Lemon sees potential for further digitization, with even more customer-oriented functions and optimized communication processes.
Conclusion
The collaboration between Fiberklaar and Lemon illustrates how digitization and technology can be used to streamline complex processes. From field research to software development, Lemon has proven to be a reliable partner for creating innovative solutions with impact. This project is not only a success for Fiberklaar, but also provides a blueprint for future projects in the telecom sector.
