An app to drive sustainable entrepreneurship
ETION is a Flemish business platform that is committed to value-driven and sustainable business operations. It offers entrepreneurs and business leaders a confidential environment to share experiences and inspire each other. In 2025, ETION celebrated its 100th anniversary. To strengthen engagement within their community, ETION partnered with Lemon to develop a mobile application.
Lemon handled both the design and development of the mobile and web application for ETION. A crucial aspect was the seamless integration of the Flutter-based application with the platform's existing CMS system on the website of ETION. Because ETION wanted to strengthen engagement within its community, we applied our UX methodologies to make accessing relevant information and event registration as simple and intuitive as possible. Additionally, Lemon provided on-site technical support during the app's launch event, so everything went smoothly.
News feed with reading, watching, and listening tips
The application has an integrated news feed that brings together newsletters, blog posts, and other valuable content. Through an integration with Drupal, the content of articles is intelligently retrieved and restructured. The layout is then rebuilt within Flutter, providing an optimized and consistent reading experience within the app. As a result, users always have easy access to relevant and inspiring information.
Sign up for events
Events created in Drupal are automatically synchronized with the app. Users can easily browse the event calendar, view details, and register directly via the app. This lowers the threshold for participation and increases community engagement.
In-app workgroups
Specific workgroups will have a separate section within the application. Working group members can view sessions, find relevant documents, and browse contact information for other group members. This promotes collaboration and knowledge sharing within the Etion community and provides a central hub for all group activities.
Thanks to its smooth and intuitive user experience, the new application fosters increased interaction and engagement within the Etion network. With this future-proof solution, ETION is ready to celebrate its 100th anniversary backed by a digitally connected and thriving business community!
