Royal Antwerp FC
B2C communication app for Antwerp football club
Royal Antwerp Football Club (RAFC), founded in 1880, is the oldest football club in Belgium. Based in the legendary Bosuil Stadium, the club has seen an impressive resurgence in recent years, highlighted by their 2023 national title and strong performances in European competitions. As their previous B2C mobile application reached the end of its lifecycle, our Lemoneers stepped in to develop a modern, high-performance application to carry the club into its next chapter.

The application’s primary goal is to foster deeper fan engagement by providing real-time updates and exclusive benefits. It was essential that the design perfectly mirrored RAFC's iconic branding. A major challenge was the aggressive timeline: the application had to be designed and developed in record time, with just three months from the initial kickoff to the simultaneous go-live on both Android and iOS. To ensure a seamless experience, the app was integrated into the broader RAFC ecosystem, including the website, ticketing system, and official fan shop.

Inform supporters
Fans stay informed with breaking news, match previews, and club events. The app provides updates on everything from schedule changes and injury reports to suspensions, fixtures, and final results.
Live Feed
Supporters can follow every match in real-time through a dedicated live feed. This includes live scores, goals, assists, cards, and critical match events such as substitutions or injury updates, ensuring fans never miss a moment of the action.
Partner Deals
The app provides access to exclusive rewards through the club's partner network. Fans can benefit from special offers at popular chains like Burger King, with unique discount codes generated and redeemed directly within the application.

Integration with De Lijn's ticketing system, fan shop, and M-Tickets
Supporters can easily purchase new tickets or access their existing tickets or subscriptions. In addition, an integration has also been provided with the fan shop and with De Lijn's M-Tickets: Fans can travel to the stadium for free with their M-ticket. This offers extra convenience for supporters who want to get to the stadium by public transport. Via the app, the user can directly claim and validate their ticket for the trip to the stadium.
Single Sign-On for tickets, purchases and promotions
This feature offers a user-friendly way to access multiple features in the website, mobile app, and fan shop using a single account, without the need for multiple logins.

The app that Lemon has developed for RAFC strengthens the fan community by connecting supporters to the club in an easy, fast and efficient way. he launch was an immediate success, surpassing 10,000 downloads within the first two weeks alone.
